Focus on fat loss not weight loss

I assume you are reading this because you want to change our body/health in some way. So congratulations!!

What we are doing by focusing on long term healthy lifestyle changes and nutrition rather than ‘dieting’ will change the way we measure our progress and here’s a reminder of why…

We are focusing on balanced nutrition rather than low calories.
With low calories and lettuce leaf diets you lose weight and yes the scales will give you great weight loss readings but you will feel tired, moody, crave heaps and often pile the weight back on once you’ve hit your goal.

We want to focus on losing body fat and retaining/gaining lean muscle in order to transform our body, energy and mood and live a healthier life.
5lb of lean muscle takes up a quarter to a third of the space of 5lb of fat. So if we replace the fat with muscle then we stay the same weight BUT our clothes feel loser and we lose inches.

FIND YOUR FAVE OUTFIT THAT IS A LITTLE SNUG- hang on the end of your wardrobe and let this be your motivation 🤩

Of course some people will still lose a lot of weight as some have more fat to lose than other and they will not build the same mass in muscle. Everyone is on a different journey so you can’t compare.

BOTTOM LINE
For sustainable fat loss and increase in muscle tone you must consume enough protein AND take up some form of resistance training 💪🏻
